"Sublime" Solo Exhibition of Saudi Artist Lulwah Al Homoud at Naila Art Gallery #Riyadh

Naila Art Gallery would like to invite you to attend the
opening night of Lulwah Al Homoud's solo exhibition
'SUBLIME'.

Doors open at 8PM on Sunday, February 28th, 2016.
Exhibition will run until 18th March, 2016

The exhibition will explore the continued desire for creative communication through the potential of geometry. In the artist's own words, "...as we engage in the dichotomies of existence, the rhetoric between substance, essence and fate compels us into asking what is abstract; what is solid; what is common and what is particular. This discourse moves back and forth between the humanities and the sciences, constantly shedding and reconstructing subtle layers. Arguably, what is most incongruous in this discourse is what is most convergent within it; communication. Using a pure language, this work locks together geometry, faith and beauty, pushing the boundaries of what we know, how we know it and how it is perceived.

I have always been drawn to express my inner faith using abstract forms. This work is about turning a basic shape of the cube into a complex intertwined shape Where its structure and construction suggests growth, continuity and eternity. The shape suggests the static equilibrium of the Infinite shining through the finite world."
