TRANSMISSION | Artist Talal Al Zeid Solo Exhibition | Lam Art Gallery | October 22nd @lamartgallery

CONCEPT

TRANSMISSION is concept where the artist preserves discarded fragments depicting current day communications. These found objects are parts of what compose complete satellite dishes which have been designed to receive electromagnetic signals from satellites, which transmit data transmissions or broadcasts.

Images using enamel paint were portrayed directly onto the surfaces, reminding us of one of their main purposes, which in this case the artist wanted to focus on the broadcasting of visual communication. The artist also deliberately left the objects with their original rust to display the durability of these unique metallic shapes.
